Toddler Discovery Center

At Home Sweet Home, we believe in play. Our Toddler Discovery Center consists of a variety of activity centers specially designed for busy, active, and growing toddlers. These centers include:

• Building & Blocks
• Manipulative Center
• Dramatic Play Area
• Library
• Music & Movement Room
• Art Center
• Science & Sensory Area
• Outdoor Gardening Area
• Outdoor Play Areas

Our teachers work together to plan developmentally appropriate activities for the 18 month to three-year-old Toddler Groups. The lead teachers have created a daily schedule which includes play-based "work time" in each of these centers. The schedule is designed to specifically meet the changing needs of our active toddlers, while facilitating learning through play. Also, all children at HSH learn beginning Spanish, starting with colors and numbers.

We provide organic snacks twice daily for our Toddlers. Additionally, parents can either send lunch from home or opt to purchase lunch from our hot lunch provider at an additional cost.

Every week, we offer a Wednesday movement class that focuses on stretching, jumping, hopping, and everything else that gets the wiggles out. We also have yoga every other Thursday.

The outdoor yards at the Toddler Center are equipped with a large slide, toddler climbing structure, two sand boxes, a garden area, water play tables, building block area, outdoor art area, and ball play area surrounded by lush landscaping.
